Biography

Ruth Moskop, Ph.D.

Director

Dr. Moskop earned her Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin in 1984. Her doctoral research focused on concepts of health in the Middle Ages. Since 1999, she has served as Curator of History Collections at the William E. Laupus Health Sciences Library of East Carolina University. In 2006, Dr. Moskop was appointed Assistant Director for History Programs at the Library and Country Doctor Museum Director. She enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, reading, and playing harp.

Anne Anderson, M.A.

Curator

Anne was involved with the Country Doctor Museum when it re-opened in 2004 under the direction of East Carolina University and currently focuses on developing the Museum's policies and programs. Anne has an undergraduate degree in anthropology from the University of San Diego and an M.A. in museum studies from the George Washington University.

Jennie Schindler Graham

Site Manager

Jennie joined the Country Doctor Museum in 2004 and now oversees daily operations. She is the Museum's administrative liaison with East Carolina University and also coordinates site facilities, the museum store and guest services. Jennie earned her undergraduate degree in history at Barton College.

Brittany Bryant

Associate Curator

Joining the museum staff in 2006 Brittany provides guest tours and assists with collection management; including conducting artifact-based research, artifact accessioning, photography, and labeling. Brittany graduated from East Carolina University in 2007 with a B.S. in public history.

Elizabeth Otey

Collections Assistant

Elizabeth joined the museum staff in summer 2007. She provides guest tours and assists with collection management. Elizabeth received her undergraduate degree from Meredith College and will graduate from East Carolina University this spring with a M.A. in history.
