Museum staff were disappointed not to plant the museum’s medicinal garden this spring due to Coronavirus stay-at-home orders. However, we were pleasantly surprised to see how much of our garden grew back on its own, seemingly not needing our TLC! Our favorite hardy perennials did not let us down and came back as pretty as ever. Not one to stay put, feverfew is abundant throughout the garden, and our wild quinine made an unexpected comeback. Although some years it struggles, our echinacea decided to grace the garden with beautiful blooms this spring. Rosemary, mint, tansy, yarrow, apothecary rose and hops also returned. The diagram illustrates what grows where.
