Museum staff had a great time installing a fun exhibit, “Cabinets of Wonder,” at East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine. Featuring quirky and unusual objects from the Country Doctor Museum’s collection, the exhibit is reminiscent of cabinets of curiosity popular during the Renaissance. Some of our most fascinating items, such as a glass eye or a “Liebenswecker,” a counter-irritant instrument from the 19th century, are on view in the exhibit. The displays are located on the ground floor hallway between the Brody School of Medicine and Vidant Medical Center.
